Gareth Boyd named finalist in CIWEM Presidential Awards
We are proud to announce that Watertight International’s CEO, Gareth Boyd, has been named as a finalist in this year’s Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) Presidential Awards.
Gareth is a finalist in the Innovation Award category, which recognises individuals who demonstrate exceptional creativity and develop new approaches or technologies that deliver tangible benefits across the water and environmental industry.
For more than a decade, Gareth has challenged how Property Flood Resilience (PFR) is approached and delivered. Through his work with Watertight International and Resilico, he has helped to combine practical, on-the-ground experience with digital innovation, while always keeping the people and communities affected by flooding front and centre.
Central to Gareth’s approach is an understanding that effective flood resilience starts with flood preparedness: taking into account the person, the property and the flood risk, with careful planning and continued engagement.
This focus has shaped Watertight’s approach to delivering PFR and contributed to the development of Resilico’s digital technology, which supports flood preparedness, response and the management of resilience measures.
Being selected as a finalist is a fitting recognition of Gareth’s continued commitment to the industry and we are all very proud to see his contribution recognised in this way.
Winners will be announced at the CIWEM Presidential Awards Dinner on 16 November, in London. Further information is available here: https://www.ciwemevents.com/event/presidentialawards/summary.
