Flood Information
To get the information you need about flooding it’s vital to ask the right questions. Here are some good questions and some straightforward answers:
Is My Property at Risk from Flooding in general?
This is the first question.
The Environment Agency website offers a map of your area showing the areas expected to be affected by typical and extreme floods.

Then put your postcode or place name in the box and follow the instructions.
OR
Call Floodline - 0845 988 1188 - for flood risk assessment specific to your property. If you are at risk you should be eligible for the automated direct messaging service to your phone. This calls you automatically to warn you if a flood threat is imminent.

Please note that the Environment Agency information is only a guide. We always recommend an independent flood survey.
